As ingrained into our culture as the red, white & blue of old glory, traditional tattoo art is an essential and meaningful part of modern art. Young artist
Quyen Dinh has taken this art form and put her own special feeling into it. Her family immigrated from Viet Nam in the 1980's and found eventually mad their home in sunny southern California. Growing up in this environment it's no surprise that she was exposed to and found her inspiration in tattooing. Quyen works out of a converted 1976 Golden Nugget travel trailer...amazing!!! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI prefer flash painted by a tattooer that has been doing it for years, than by some cute little girl in a fancy trailer.

@Pat - Sour grapes? Don't be a hater, the art speaks for itself.
ReplyDeletecool post...
ReplyDeleteHer looks and her 'fancy trailer' (that she redesigned herself) are already signs that she's got an eye for esthetics. Also, it's not necessarily the case that because one has done flash paintings for years, the quality or style is best suited. I agree, the art speaks for itself. I'm sorry but I'm struggling to see the relevancy in your comment Mr. Johnson...
