Photo of the Day
Only a few generations removed from the coal mines of Kentucky and Tennessee, my heart goes out to the families of the miners trapped in a West Virgina coal mine and to the families of the 25 miners that have already died. Seems not much has changed in the industry when people migrated from England, Ireland & Scotland to venture into the ground to make a living.

1930's U.S. Navy Chinstrap Chambray Shirt
Super rare 1930's U.S. Navy chinstrap chambray that ended on eBay for over $400. Possible the sleeves were cut down to make it short sleeve, but a nice piece for any vintage workwear collection!

1940's Big Yank Blue Chambray
Here's another bang up Big Yank shirt. This one sold for over $600! Guess my dream of owning an original is getting further and further away.

1930's 1940's Carhartt Advertising Sign
Probably from the 1930's or 1940's, this sign was spotted on the east side of Detroit by my friend Dan Kroha (Gories, Demolition Dollrods). It was uncovered after the building next to it was demolished on an old dry goods store. Thanks Dan!
