Farewell Cosmic Keith Charlie
Yesterday we lost one of the brightest, most creative and hilarious members of our international community. I can still remember the first time I saw him in the pages of CR, what a crack-up he was. I grew to know him over the years as an innovator and progenitor of rockin' DJ culture all over the world. From him we heard records that we might not have heard otherwise and he taught us these songs through his many vinyl compilations he produced and sold over the years.
I got to know him in person many times and we talked a lot on line about anything from records to UFO's to the price of tea. He was a sweet, funny and gregarious man whom we will all be at loss without. I had a good solid cry at the news and I'm tearing up again as I write this.
The absolute worst part of this is, that because of the current situation worldwide, there will be no opportunity right now to grieve together, cry together and come together to celebrate his life. I'm hoping that at some point soon this will be possible. But right now, everyone needs to realize that we need each other more now than we have ever needed each other before. I'd encourage you all to make an extra effort to reach out.
