Memorial Day weekend brought some of the warmest weather I can remember in Northern Michigan. Spent with the family on Douglas Lake, the wife and I found some time to cross the bridge to the Upper Peninsula and do a little exploring!
Here's a little place called "Indian Village". Just across the bridge in St. Ignace, the outside was better than the inside (modern and corny goods you could buy just about anywhere). They did have a nice selection of moccasins though.
Here's a shot of the mighty Mac... the Mackinac Bridge!
We also found time to stop at one of our favorite tourist traps Castle Rock. It costs a dollar to climb up there and my calve muscles are still throbbing, but the view is more than worth it!

sweet !! love the Paul bunyan statue
I got a Paul Bunyan decanter that had Jim Beam in it over the weekend...I'll see if I can post a pic of it.
cool !!!
Would love to see the Native Neon sign all lit up. It looks like his arrow goes up to his hand. Looks like a fun adventure.
Cheers.
Next time I'll go over at night to check it out!
