"We got our first small run of my 1937 pattern chinos. These
are made from 8.2 oz. 100% cotton twill (think Cramerton or West Point Mill's
Army cloth). The pockets and waist lining are heavy drill. Correct early style
double welted back and watch pockets and slash hip pockets. Leg and seat seams
are felled. The button fly uses the WWI style zinc US Army buttons, which were
found on some of the early WWII army trousers. These are one washed so
customers can simply order their size. No guessing. These went through several
pattern adjustments to get them just right. The goal was to create a perfect
chino pant for myself, ones that if I found somewhere I'd say, "oh, I
better buy 4 or 5 pairs because I'll need these until I die." I'm looking
forward to the comparisons of other makers of this style chino. I feel these
are not only better made, but better fitting. As I needed to see how the size
grading turned out we ran a small production of 30 pairs. The grading from size
30 to size 40 was perfect so this first small run is available to the public
now. Price is 15800 JPY plus shipping. Contact us at info@speedway-shop.com to
purchase. Thanks!"
