Black Sign Melton Wool "Railroad Jacket"

I found this one after doing a little on-line spelunking this morning. It's an incredible 1930's style wool railroad jacket by the folks over at Vintage Blue Inc.. I wish I could tell you a little more about this one, but the details on the site are limited. It sells for about $430 and has some incredible detailing.

1940's Lee Chore Cap

This is one fine Lee housemark label chore cap with chain stitch on the front. Selling for $415, there seems to be no ceiling on what the market will pay for vintage workwear still.

1930's Hercules Horsehide Half Belt Leather Jacket

This incredible BLACK horsehide jacket sold for a cool $1,350 on eBay. Amazing detailing and a Hercules jacket too boot! Super tiny, so no doubt it will wind up in the land of the rising sun.

Veterans Day 2010

Remember to thank a Veteran today! With thousands of veterans jobless and even homeless, I can think of no better way than to provide them with a job. Here's a photo of a group of WWI vets boarding a bus in 1933 to work on a reforestation program. Like it or not, these guys put their lives on the line for us and for the freedoms we enjoy. They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect!

1950's Lee Boss of the Road Double Knee Work Pants

Pretty nice pair of NOS work pants by Boss of the Road. Selling for $500 with one bidder on eBay, I'd have to say this was  BIN transaction. Great suspender buttons and triple stitch details on these:
