1940's Carhartt Lace Back Salt & Pepper Chambray Pants

If you didn't already know, these fantastic work pants sold on eBay for a whopping $1,550. I've seen them in denim before, but not in chambray (apparently there was another pair listed earlier in the year I missed). Wish I had a few of these to sell...and one to wear! Oddly, the seller said that Carhartt could not find these in their catalog archives and thinks they could be a salesman's sample? I think the simple fact that other pairs were floating around on eBay would probably negate this theory. They probably just went out with a really low production run OR just never made in a catalog (perhaps Carhartt's archive is also not that complete either).

1940's 1950's Carhartt Lace Back Jeans

Here's an amazing pair of NOS Carhartt lace back jeans that popped up on eBay this week. Let's see how high they will climb before ending!!

Early 1900's Carhartt Railroad Cap

WOW! This is one I've never seen before! Somebody really crushed this auction on eBay for over $1,200 last week. Amazing piece and fairly good condition to boot. Wonder how long until we see a similar repro on the market? I really love the patina and combination of fabrics Carhartt used in making this cap. Denim with a wabash print band really make this one stand out.

1930's 1940's Lace Back Carhartt Denim Pants

This nicely patina'd pair of lace back pants by Carhartt sold fairly low at $540 on eBay yesterday. Perhaps not the most popular style, they are pretty rare to find in any condition. I would have to say they are inspired by earlier denim and wool U.S. Navy sailor pants. I've seen a few pairs of similar repro pants in the past couple of years (some good, some bad), but nothing compares to that original denim.

Deadstock 1940's Carhartt Brown Cotton Duck Chore Coat

This is already over $1,300 and by the time it ends on eBay I'll be on my way to a couple of days of well deserved relaxation in northern lower Michigan! This jacket is another example of the weak dollar vs. high demand for American vintage workwear. Either way, I wish I had it in my collection!

1940's Carhartt Union Made Chore Cap

These things have been selling like hotcakes for months now! It's no surprise this example went for nearly $400 in a recent eBay auction. I love the mixture of the denim and railroad stripe materials Carhartt used on this one.

1930's Carhartt Salesman's Sample Overalls

This is something you won't see again for a long, long time! Fantastic pair of tiny (16 1/2" long) Carhartt overalls that are most likely a salesman's sample. Complete and perfect in every way, they still have gained some patina from storage and/or age over the past 70 years or so. I really love the buckle back! Sure enough they sold for a nice price at over $1,500 on eBay.

1950's Carhartt Chore Caps

Both incorrectly listed as 1940's, these two caps went for $204 and $253 respectively. Quite a heft sum to pay for a cap of any era! Also surprised that the thin striped version went for less money as it's definitely rarer and more attractive in my opinion (eBay monkey business perhaps?).
