The Old Redford Theatre will be showing the classic film noir movie "The Postman Always Rings Twice" this weekend (July 23rd/24th) on the big screen. Shot in 1946, it stars both Lana Turner and John Garfield. In case you've never heard of it, here's the plot synopsis courtesy of IMDB:
"A drifter hitches a ride from the local District Attorney to an 'out of the way' restaurant/gas station owned by a man and his beautiful wife. They fall in love and together they plot the murder of her husband."
Did I mention the ticket price is a measly $4? That and a great old timey concession stand in a rehabbed 1929 Chinese pagoda themed theatre makes this a must! They even have an organ player before and during the intermission!

I very much liked this movie!
A beautiful girl in it and a gas station with cool cars passing by.
One of my all time faves!!!
