A true blue rock n' roller to the very end, Larry will be greatly missed. He was born Larry Donn Gillihan in Bono Arkansas on his parent's farm. He was inspired to a life of music after seeing Sonny Burgess and the Pacers perform at his high school gymnasium! Shortly after that, he saw Elvis perform and later on Billy Lee Riley and was certainly influenced by both. He gave us one of the best two-sided rockers on Vaden with "Honey Bun"/"That's What I Call A Ball" recorded in either 1959 or 1960. He also cut "The Girl Next Door" on Ad-bur and a couple of more 45's for Alley records.
