1940's WWII U.S. Army Air Force T-Shirt
Here's another off the charts eBay auction! The seller of this Randolph Field Texas was able to fetch a whopping $407 for this baby! Not my size and definitely out of the price range, this would make a nice design to repro.

Modified Vintage Military Bag
I collect a lot of these military bags and to be honest I couldn't really figure out what this one was. Probably an ammo or mail or some other type of bag. Made of canvas with a pocket on the back, I thought it would make a nice messenger type bag. I made and added a nice leather strap to it and my wife Siobhan sewed the squadron patch on it for me. Dragged stuff around in at the flea market on Sunday and it worked out pretty good.
1940's WWII M-43 Jacket With Custom Octopus Art
More and more amazing stuff showing up on eBay these days. This one went for a whopping $425! Not so bad if you consider it a one of a kind piece of art work!

1940's Big Yank Blue Chambray
Here's another bang up Big Yank shirt. This one sold for over $600! Guess my dream of owning an original is getting further and further away.

Vintage Canvas Boat Cover Duffle Bag
Picked this one up a while back at a garage sale. Not sure of the era, but I would guess it's from the 1950's or 1960's. Crazy graphic and made in Detroit!

1950's Wool Cap
Here's a fun little 1950's wool camp cap I picked up at the flea market today. Complete with NRA badge and collection of pins:
Cooperstown Ball Cap Company - Sad News
I was at the Detroit Athletic Company (http://www.detroitathletic.com/) yesterday afternoon checking out their wares and was told by the clerk that Cooperstown Ball Cap Company was out of business as of late last year. Here's the note on their site (http://www.ballcap.com/):
"ANNOUNCEMENT
Regrettably, after twenty-three years of making fine historic replica ball caps, Cooperstown Ball Cap Company has discontinued operations. Commercial, financial and legal difficulties; and the complexity of sewing one-of-a-kind caps in the U.S, make this decision inevitable. We thank all our customers for whom, over the years, we have been pleased to make a true vintage ball cap. All orders in house will be fulfilled and, to the extent we can, CBC will post links on this website to other firms making a similar cap. If you have any questions we can be reached by e-mail. Willy "Old Clothes" Arlt, Managing Director, Cooperstown Ball Cap Co. Inc"
Sad news, as they were makers of some of the finest reproduction ball caps available. Here's one that I sport to Tiger games:
1935 wool cap with leather band and cut to specs for when the Tigers played at Navin Field. Pick em' up while you still can!

1930's 1940's Sweet-Orr Whipcord Uniform Jacket
This beautiful, but painfully small, dead stock jacket recently sold for a healthy $676 on eBay. Called the "Immaculate Mac", this is a break from the zip-up whipcord jackets commonly seen for sale. Congrats to the winner whoever you may be!

King of Vintage
Anyone who's anyone in the world of vintage knows Larry McKeon of Heller's Cafe. Author the MyFreedamn series Rin Tanaka has come out with a fantastic (should I say forthcoming?) book called the "King of Vintage No. 1 - Hellers Cafe". Still not available on Rin's website, you can get a nice preview (www.myfreedamn.com):
